Lizzie in Paris - What's in this season?
Busy Lizzie @
This time last week our gorgeous design team and I headed over to Paris to see the newest trends, and discover how we can bring those right to your doorstep! (We might have also snuck in a little bit of sightseeing too!)
So, what did we see?...
Colour of the Year, Mocha Mousse.
Okay, let’s talk about Colour of the Year 2025—Mocha Mousse. Sounds delicious, right? Mocha Mousse is a rich, luscious, timeless brown that brings a cosy warmth to interiors this year, perfectly complementing what we do at Hug Rug. If you’ve seen our Sense Mink doormats, you’ll know they give the same elegant yet laid back style! Perfect for making your home feel warm and welcoming.
Rich Earthy Tones - adding warmth to your space
I also spotted a lot of earthy hues. Rich warm tones like rust, olive, forest green, clay, and terracotta are everywhere right now, and they aren’t just for walls! Introduce a rich earthy accent, that elevates any space. Our Patchwork Paws door mat is an easy way to update your interior, plus it’s washable, so it’ll stay looking fresh and vibrant for longer.
Pit Stop in Paris: Pattern Books and Interior Inspiration
After a long day of exploring all the latest trends, and the excitement of bringing these amazing designs to you, it was only right we stopped for a quick break whilst perusing the pattern books! Then it was time to get back to business…
Green, Green, and more Green!
Let's talk about green, it's everywhere! We’ve all seen sage green grow into a staple hue in the last year, so green has definitely had its moment, but for 2025, it’s getting even bigger! From dark and dramatic forest green, or bright and bold lime, it’s the colour to watch. It’s a great way to bring the outdoors in, and who doesn’t love a pop of colour?
“Greige”is the new Grey
You’ve probably seen grey hanging around for a while, however with warmer tones becoming the forefront of this year’s design trends, a warmer neutral ‘Greige’ - a grey toned beige - has become a feature of most colour palettes. It’s versatile enough to pair with bold greens and purples, but also compliments browns and charcoals for those who prefer a more neutral interior.
So, there it is, the trends that are ready to refresh your interiors in 2025. Whether you’re looking to warm up your space with Mocha Mousse, add a splash of colour with green, or mixing in the timeless neutral ‘greige’, Hug Rug have got you covered. Our washable doormats and rugs are the perfect way to add these colours to your home—starting with your front door!
