We also recommend vacuuming or shaking your rug outside to remove any loose particles of dirt and debris. Then, pop your rug in your washing machine and wash on a quick 30ºC spin. And there you have it, it’s as easy as that!

To save water, we recommend washing your Hug Rug Eco-Washable rug only when necessary. We understand that for busy households with tiny tots and four legged friends, this may be more often than not. With muddy pawprints, pet hair, spills and sticky handprints making frequent appearances in your home, your rug is likely to be a magnet for mess. 

Regular vacuuming of your eco-washable rug is going to help to remove any loose particles of dirt and debris and prevent them from settling deeper in the fibres of your rug. For best results, we recommend vacuuming your rug once a week to help keep it cleaner for longer and preventing less of a need for washing.

Yes! You can rest assured that it isn’t unhygienic to wash your rug in a washing machine. We recommend just giving your eco-washable rug a vacuum or a shake to remove loose particles before you pop it in the machine. Once the cycle is finished and your rug is drying, you might want to give the drum a quick spray and wipe and check your filter to make sure that no dirt has built up.
