My Favourite Things About Christmas

Can you believe that the big day is almost here and Christmas is less than a week away! My excitement is through the roof and I can’t wait to get all of the family together for a lovely week spent enjoying quality time together, lots of delicious food and a G&T or two (maybe more!)
I especially love the festive season as it makes my heart feel all warm and fuzzy seeing everyone exchanging the gifts they’ve put so much thought into and having lots of fun and laughter singing along to Christmas songs (Ady does a great Michael Buble!)
I thought I’d share a few of my other favourite things about Christmas to get us all in the festive spirit as the 25th gets closer.
Decorating the house
I do love a good makeover (as you’re probably aware) and Christmas time is the perfect excuse to completely transform your home into a gorgeous winter wonderland. Out come the twinkly lights and cosy accessories to make your home feel all snuggly and magical. I’ve made sure there’s a festive and cosy touch across every inch of our home this year, from our adorable Robin 1 Hug Rug at the front door to the silky soft wool throws in the living room and bedrooms.
Festive treats
It wouldn’t be Christmas without some tasty treats and delicious dishes would it! The turkey dinner with all the trimmings is the highlight of Christmas Day, followed by a range of chocolatey goodies (the diet can wait until the new year!)

Gifting presents
One of my most favourite things about Christmas is being able to give presents to my friends and family and watching their reactions as they open them. It fills my heart with so much joy! I love the run up to Christmas and making lists of what I’m going to buy for each person, plus it gives me an excuse to go shopping!
Spending time with loved ones
Amongst all the celebrations, food and presents, the most important thing about Christmas is the people that we spend it with. It’s the shared laughter, the warm hugs and heartwarming memories created that are my most favourite thing about the Christmas season! Whether it’s snuggling up on the sofa with the kids to watch a movie or crying with laughter playing party games, Christmas always creates memories that will last a lifetime.
I’m sure you’ll all agree with me that these are some of the best things about Christmas and the holiday season! Of course there’s many more things to enjoy this time of year such as the Christmas markets, Christmas parties and plenty of festive activities but these are the star on top of the tree for me!
