Supporting British manufacturers with our brand new lambswool throws

Back in the Summer, I had the wonderful idea of manufacturing some extra cosy wool throws, so you lovely lot can stay warm and toasty during the Winter months. The problem is, we’re so busy making our fabulous Hug Rugs that there’s no more room in our mills to manufacture these beautiful throws, so we needed a little help in making our visions a reality.
As a British manufacturer, we love to support other local businesses with a strong British made ethos and amazing heritage. Back in’t ol’ days, great grandad Jack Mosley sourced locally woven wool from Lancashire, so I thought we should keep the family tradition alive! That’s when I got in touch with our friends over at County Brook to see if they’d lend a hand, and to my absolute delight, they said yes!
Tucked away in the glorious Pendle Valley lies the beautiful heritage mill of County Brook. Built alongside the Leeds/Liverpool canal, the mill straddles the historic Lancashire/Yorkshire boundary line (I know which side I’d choose!) but behind all of that beauty, there’s some serious textile brains!
This fabulous fourth generation company (sound familiar?) has been weaving textiles for over 100 years! While we specialise in mats and rugs, County Brook’s talents lie with upholsteries, apparel cloths, scarves and most importantly, throws! They’ve made all sorts of brilliant textiles - from haircloth for Savile Row (for fancy suits) to deckchair fabric for the Royal Parks (for fancy seats!).
Back to our brand new throws - I do love to waffle, don’t I?
Made from 100% genuine lambswool, our gorgeous wool throws come in four neutral colourways - all double sided, giving you even more ways to style, so you can switch up your interior whenever you fancy! I’ve got Ice and Sandstone in my living room to match my silver Christmas decorations when they go up (don’t worry, I haven’t got them up… yet!).
Although we chose lambswool for the super soft texture and cosy warm feel (I’m wrapped up in mine right now!), you’ll be pleased to know this lovely fabric is also naturally stain resistant and hypoallergenic - so no scuffs or sniffles here!
Best of all, our luxury wool throws are available to buy now, so you can grab yours just in time for the weather turning!
